Killarney National Park

A visit to Killarney would not be complete without visiting an area of the some 26,000 hectares of The Killarney National Park. The mountains, lakes, woods and waterfalls are a spectacular scene be it summer or winter. There is a scenic beauty that changes every day. Kerry is a wonderful rugged county.

The Mc Guillycuddy Reeks hosts the highest mountain in Ireland Carrantuohill which is a very popular choice for climbers. The red deer will cross your path and that is a wonderful sight. The swans and ducks at Ross Castle are loved by the little ones. The Hotel can give you bread as they do love to be fed. If you’re a flower lover then be sure to visit the Muckross House Gardens and Traditional Farms as there you can get lost in the colours.

Bikes are a popular choice of transport as well as the Killarney Jaunting Carts. If you’re comfortable with small boats then we recommend you go by boat to Innisfallen Island on the lower lake and to Dinis Cottage. There are wonderful pathways and walks and you can stroll for hours without ever crossing the same path. Our reception team  can give you the local tips on the best highlights The Killarney Park has to offer. It is so vast that there is something for all the family to really enjoy.
