Muckross House and Gardens; One of Irelands most popular visitor attractions, this magnificent Victorian Mansion should be top of your list of activities while in Killarney. The mansion was built in 1943 in a Tudor Style with a total of 65 rooms. Later in 1850 further extensions were carried out in preparation of Queen Victoria’s arrival. The house is now a museum, with many of the rooms now restored to their original Victorian splendor.Muckross Gardens boasts spectacular features such as a Rock Garden, a Stream Garden and a Sunken Garden.
Muckross Traditional Farms aresituated adjacent to Muckross House, portraying the traditional farming methods and way of life of a typical rural community in 1930.
