Dingle and Slea Head
Dingle in Co. Kerry is a magical fishing town located in the southwest of Ireland. It is home to famous poets authors and song writers such as Peig Sayers and O’Siochfhradha among many others. The pubs are very much traditional Irish offering great Guinness and traditional music. It is home to fungi the famous dolphin. There are magnificent walks and trails for horseback riding. The Dingle races are a very popular event for the Kerry people to attend. The Blasket Islands, Slea Head Drive, Kilmalkedar, Gallurus Oratory, the Connor Pass are some of the highlights. The Restaurants such as the Half Door, Lord Bakers and the Goat Street Café will satisfy any hungry man. The Slea Head is a circular route. It begins in Dingle and ends in Dingle. The views of the magnificent rugged coastline are breathtaking. It will take a half day and we advise to check the weather before you go there. The drive is along the Atlantic coastline and is well signposted. There are many viewing points where you can stop and take photos.
