Siamsa Tire (the National Folk Theatre) is located in Tralee town which is a 30-minute drive from the Killarney Royal Hotel and performs an extensive programme with a wide variety of Traditional Music, song and dance to keep visitors entertained.

Crag Cave

Boat Trips
Take an adventure on a boat through the famous and enchanting Lakes of Killarney. We particularly recommend the cruise of Lough Lein on the Lily of Killarney.There is an onboard commentary which informs you of the history and lore of the lakes. Notable landmarks include Innisfallen Island, on which are the ruins of a medieval Monastery, Ross Island with its 4,000-year-old copper-mines, and the Oakwoods at Tomies Mountain. There are daily sailings from Ross Castle and is sure to be a fun day out.

Gap of Dunloe
The Gap of Dunloe is more of an adventure than a tour. It truly is a spectacular sight. You can catch a bus to Kate Kearney’s Cottage, then enjoy a journey of miles ahead of you to be taken by horse, bicycle, or you can walk the famous gap through to Lord Brandon’s Cottage. After lunch, the traditional style boat takes you through the three Lakes of Killarney and to Ross Castle and then drops you back to your Hotel. A magnificent day out!
